Crimson Lace Balconette Bra

I been sewing since I was 7 years old. I've sewed everything from pillows, pajamas, prom dresses, swimsuits, lingerie of course, jeans, men's button ups & everything in between. While working at Dollhouse Bettie in San Francisco I sewed girdles, underwire bras, garter belts, robes, dresses, stockings & so much more. With all my experience I finally had the guts to drape, pattern & sew up my very own underwire bra completely made from scratch by me. This is fucking huge for me because it's something I been wanting to do for awhile but never thought I really could. I am extremely negative on myself when it comes to my work. Luckily my negativity pushes me to work 100 times harder & the results of this are phenomenal. 

Up above is the Crimson Lace Balconette Bra I will be releasing on my shop very soon along with a new lookbook & a handful of new styles. A lot of times I feel like I hold back when it comes to speaking what's on my mind, creating new pieces, meeting people or whatever so for this collection & the upcoming year I decided I am just going to give everyone/ everything my all. I really have nothing to loose & would truly love to share my creative vision with all you lingerie loving babes. 

I still have to grade this pattern to accommodate more bust sizes but what do you think of it so far? Because the lace I use for this is about 5" wide I may not be able to offer this style in sizes XL or XXL. But I will try my very best & offer what I can to all you busty babes like me. ;)

Behind the Scenes: Crimson

Yesterday I shot my fully revamped Crimson collection in San Francisco with the amazing Hana Haley x Frances Tomei.  I was so happy everything fit beautifully especially since I worked so hard on each piece. Here are a few behind the scenes photos we took with our iPhones. 

I can't wait to release this lookbook along with a handful of new pieces including a lace underwire bra. I don't want to give too much away but this shoot was really fucking awesome & so are the garments I made haha.

Merry Christmas 2014

Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday!! Yesterday I came home to a beautiful card from Karolina Laskowska ❤ Such a thoughtful & creative gift. Perfect way to spread some holiday cheer. 

Today I will be getting last minute things ready for tomorrow's photoshoot. I will be shooting my completely revamped Crimson collection. I am super excited!! Lots of mesh, lace & red roses.

Oh Baby

Just wanted to share a sneak peek of something I been working on for next week's photoshoot. The Crimson Mesh Babydoll. *___* Since my mannequin has a short torso the Crimson Mesh Babydoll looks kind of long here but when it's on a human being it will sit just past the hips. Borderline super short, perfect for teasing ha! 

I personally truly LOVE babydoll dresses. Throughout my entire term at FIDM I would design some kind of babydoll dress & now I finally made one. ❤ I was going to make the babydoll dress the type you pullover & slip on but I thought if I create this in sizes XL - XXL it might be easier to put on if I added the hook/ eye closure. Since there is a hook/ eye closure, the skirt opens in the back but I am totally okay with this. Now your cute panties can peek through hehe.

Lingerie Secret Santa 2014: Part Two

In a previous post I wrote about participating in a Lingerie Secret Santa organized by the amazingly talented Karolina Laskowska. If you missed out on that post click here to catch up!

Getting a gift in the mail is absolutely exciting especially when you know it's a box full of lingerie treasures. *___* My Lingerie Secret Santa ended up being the oh so lovely Kiss Me Deadly. As soon as I saw their postage on the box I jumped with excitement. They are such an amazing brand with jaw dropping pieces, I was happy they got me! Haha. 

Up above is the package I received after opening the box. I truly love the post card & rose petals. Such a sweet treat! For my brand I do not package my garments with tissue paper but now I am thinking I ought to. Not knowing what is wrapped in that tissue paper brought so much anticipation it made me even more excited to rip it open haha. As much as I wanted to rip everything open, I slowly opened the package one by one so I can salvage their Kiss Me Deadly stickers. 

This is one of the sets I first unwrapped. A underwire bra with a hipster style panty featuring a blue/ white floral print & organza black sheer bows. My first impression was yes!! Amazing, such a cute set! I have a bra with a similar baby blue print from Freya so receiving this one was a blessing. The panties fit perfectly, the power net is extremely soft & the elastic hems don't cut into my skin.

Along with this baby blue floral print set, I got a longline girdle. *___* I am so in love with this piece!! It fits well, contours along my curves & has intricate detailing with the paneled seams. I sewn a few girdles before & they aren't easy. This one is beyond amazing & I can't wait to wear it. 

Here is another lingerie set I was gifted. A bra, waist cincher & a high waist brief made from a sheer power net, blue satin, & floral black lace overlay. Such a gorgeous set. *___* I don't know if you seen photos of this set on the Kiss Me Deadly website but they are beyond amazing!! The panties fit so beautifully, I am adding them to my drawer of daily underpinnings. The bra features cups with a scalloped edge along the bust making you feel like a mermaid. They remind me of a seashell style bra . For those of you who love everything mermaid-esque I would definitely recommend this set.

My photo does not do justice for this corset at all. This is a corset I was gifted & I have to say this is one of my personal favorites. ;___; This garment is going with me to the grave & I will cherish it forever. It's a timeless treasure, I am soooo in love with it!! I love that is has a lace up ribbon back, a zipper for getting in & out of it quickly & sheer panels on the sides. Such a dreamy piece. I am already thinking of using it for a photoshoot & styling it with some of my pieces from my shop haha.

This is the last gift I opened... a black sheer cupless dress. Kiss Me Deadly knows me all to well. Everything they gifted me is something I would choose/ wear if I was shopping on their site. This piece I will be wearing a lot. I feel really badass in it haha, it shapes beautifully, pairs well under my dresses & it's surprisingly really comfy. All their garments are actually really comfy. Nothing poked me & nothing cuts in.

Overall I am absolutely happy with what I got from the Lingerie Secret Santa. This is such a great way to spread some holiday cheer, try out a new brand & wear some sexy sheer things. What do you think of my gift?

Dirty Laundry

Here is a 35mm photo from an old film roll I developed over the summer. Can't believe how much time has passed since then. If you are an active reader of my blog you may have noticed I posted a photo just like this but with a bit more saturation here. It was from my DSLR... personally I like this one so much better. 

I always see "clothing hanging on the curtain rod" type photos so I thought why not capture my own. I hung up a few of my personal favorite lingerie pieces from my shop & snapped a few photographs. Of course I practiced on my DSLR before I actually took this photo. Shooting in film is completely new to me, so I definitely need as much practice as I can get.

From left to right in this photo is the: Fawn Lace Camisole, Fawn Lace Bralette, Ramona Lace Bra, Ramona Garter Bralet, Ramona Frame Bra & the Ramona Mesh Bra.

Alexandrea Anissa x Girly Rose Launch Party: Part Two

Here are a few borrowed images I found on Instagram from the Alexandrea Anissa x Girly Rose Tokyo Launch Party that happened last week. I love that my garments fit beautifully with the Girly Rose boutique. They did a suburb job decorating it & making it really whimsical. *___* For me, this is really really exciting!! As soon as I saw photos of my garments hanging in their shop I was jumping up & down with excitement. It makes me feel like all my hard work was truly worth it. I thought after I finished school I would be done with the deadlines, not sleeping & stress but I was wrong. Time doesn't stop for me especially now that I own a business. I have to keep going, keep posting & keep working. 

So big thanks to everyone who supports my shop & I. Being a designer is something I always wanted aside from wanting to be Baby or Posh Spice. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤ You guys keep me going.
